At Elevate Martial Arts, we believe in more than just training — we believe in transformation.

Founded in 2015 by Jack, a former professional MMA fighter and current Powerlifting champion, Tommy a highly decorated Roger Gracie BJJ Black Belt and Trent a passionate martial artist and entrepreneur. The mission has always been simple yet powerful: to provide a space and community where people transform their lives through martial arts and strength training. Whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time or you’re a seasoned athlete, Elevate is a place where you’ll be challenged, supported, and inspired.

We offer expert-led classes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Gi and No-Gi), Wrestling, MMA, Kickboxing, Boxing, and Strength Training, all designed to develop not only physical skills but also confidence, discipline, and resilience. Our passionate and experienced coaches are dedicated to helping every member reach their full potential, both inside and outside the gym.

BJJ

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. A combination of technique and strategy, BJJ is commonly referred to as human chess, combining an amazing workout, with incredible self-defence skills. Training consists of a warm-up (strength, conditioning, and flexibility) followed by learning new techniques and finally, sparring i.e. “Light fighting”

STRENGTH AND FITNESS

Our Strength and Fitness class comprises of HIIT & Burn class as well as a Fight Fit class. Each class is headed by experienced instructors and is designed to optimise the body’s metabolism, whilst working on your core, flexibility, and strength.

All our classes are designed to teach your child discipline, self-confidence, and progressive achievement. We use techniques that have been taught for thousands of years, long before the iPad. We have gradings every 3 months which provide a pathway for the kids to improve and progress, and for them to challenge themselves.

Gi Jiu Jitsu

Gi training is the foundation of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Wearing the traditional kimono-style uniform, you’ll learn how to control your opponent through grips, pressure, and precision.
It’s a technical, strategic style that challenges your mind as much as your body — helping you build grip strength, refine movement, and develop a game that’s built to last.
Equipment required: Gi, rash guard & mouthguard.

No-Gi Jiu Jitsu

No-Gi Jiu Jitsu is fast-paced, dynamic, and focused on movement, control, and technique — without the grips of the traditional Gi. Training in rash guards and shorts, you’ll learn how to use body positioning, leverage, and timing to dominate your opponent. It’s ideal for developing agility, fluid transitions, and real-world self-defence skills. Whether you’re looking to compete or simply sharpen your game, No-Gi offers a fresh challenge and a powerful way to evolve your Jiu Jitsu. BRAZILIAN JUI JITSU AT ELEVATE

Our Fundamentals classes are designed to build strong, practical foundations in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. These sessions focus on sharpening essential techniques and deepening your understanding of the game. Whether you’re new to training or looking to refine your core skills, Fundamentals is where you solidify the building blocks of effective Jiu Jitsu — with structured guidance, purposeful drills, and a supportive team environment.

Advanced Jiu Jitsu

Designed for more experienced trainers (blue belt and above), our Advanced classes push your technical precision, tactical awareness, and intensity to the next level. Expect high-paced drilling, intricate sequences, and focused sparring that test your game under pressure. Led by Elevate’s expert coaches, these sessions challenge you to sharpen strategy, evolve your style, and train with purpose — whether you’re preparing for competition or mastering the art. KICKBOXING AT ELEVATE

Kickboxing is a striking based combat sport and martial art that combines western style boxing techniques in combination with various kicking techniques seen in the more traditional martial arts of Karate and Muay Thai. The term kickboxing can embrace a number of different styles each with different rule sets examples including American, Japanese and Dutch style kickboxing, here at Elevate you will learn the fundamentals that run through these styles and some of the more complex nuanced approaches that the various styles encompass. If you are looking for a workout that hits every muscle and keeps your heart racing whilst learning a skill then kickboxing is a great place to start
In every class, you’ll build technique, agility, strength, coordination, and flexibility while learning striking skills that really work. Our expert coaches guide you through punches, kicks, elbows, knees, defensive moves, and clinch work — all in a high-energy, supportive environment.

Boxing at Elevate

Boxing isn’t just a workout it’s an art form. Known as the Sweet Science, this discipline blends power, precision, and strategy to challenge you physically and mentally. A combat sport that focuses on the striking skills of punching, the objective in competitive boxing is to outscore the opponent with strikes or ultimately score a knock out or have the referee stop the fight for safety reasons. Here at Elevate we operate in a controlled environment to maximise safety but allow participants to learn and acquire a new set of skills, so if you are looking for a class to improve your fitness and coordination whilst learning a striking art then Boxing may just be for you!
In our classes, you’ll learn real technique tailored to your level, starting with the fundamentals of footwork and movement, defence, and punching combinations. As you progress, we’ll introduce advanced tactics like drawing attacks and countering with precision, skills that make boxing as much about thinking as striking.
Every session is built around progression and delivered in a safe, supportive environment. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced boxer, you’ll find the perfect balance of challenge and growth.

Wrestling at Elevate

Wrestling is one of the oldest sports in history where the objective is to control an opponent and either pin their shoulders to the mat or score points by outmaneuvering them. Wrestling consists of two main competitive styles: Freestyle which is an all-encompassing style where practitioners can attack the entire body to score the takedown and Greco-Roman which limits the attacks to the upper body. If you are looking for the ultimate test of strength, control, and strategy then look no further
Our wrestling classes focus on building explosive takedowns, solid defence, and relentless pressure, giving you the tools to dominate the stand-up game. Here at Elevate you will learn concepts from both Freestyle and Greco-Roman and each session combines technical drills and live sparring to sharpen timing and execution. You’ll learn how to set up attacks, defend with confidence, and chain movements together for maximum impact.
Whether you’re a BJJ practitioner or an MMA fighter looking to level up your takedown game or an athlete wanting to master wrestling fundamentals, these classes deliver high-intensity training in a safe, supportive environment.

MMA AT ELEVATE

MMA brings together the best of striking and grappling into one dynamic, high-intensity discipline. Our classes combine techniques from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, Kickboxing, and Boxing giving you a complete skill set for stand-up and ground fighting.
Each session is structured to build confidence, improve conditioning, and develop real-world combat skills in a safe, controlled environment. You’ll learn how to blend striking with takedowns, defend effectively, and transition seamlessly between ranges.
Whether you’re training for fitness, self-defence, or competition, MMA at Elevate delivers the ultimate challenge and the ultimate payoff.

STRENGTH TRAINING AT ELEVATE

Strength isn’t just about lifting heavy — it’s about moving better, feeling stronger, and building a body that performs. Our strength sessions are designed to improve power, mobility, and endurance, giving you the foundation to excel in martial arts and everyday life.
Each class is focused on one of the three fundamental, core lifts – bench press, squat and deadlift. You’ll learn proper technique, progress safely, and push your limits in a supportive, high-energy environment.
Whether your goal is to compete in a power lifting competition, complement your martial arts training, or simply get stronger and fitter, our program delivers results that last.

Kids, Juniors & Teens

Kids Classes at Elevate
Here at Elevate we approach our kids program very seriously as we set the foundations for children not just at fundamental movement and fitness level but also to help rounding them out into great human beings, but while we take it seriously we make it fun for the kids to facilitate learning. All of our classes are designed to teach your child discipline, self-confidence and useful skills by following a curriculum of progressive achievement. As well as improve their fitness, strength and mobility. We have regular gradings which provide a pathway for the kids to improve and progress, and for them to challenge themselves. Our classes are split into three different age groups.

Kids, Juniors & Teens

Kids Classes at Elevate
An introduction to Jiu Jitsu, which is a grappling martial art, and one of the fastest growing sports in the world. These classes will get your child thinking and working hard whilst having an awesome time. Games are also included! Equipment required: Gi & Mouthguard
Kickboxing
A striking based class with a combination of Kickboxing, Boxing & Muay Thai. The classes teach a mixture of different punches and kicks, and of course fun games are included too! They’re a great way for your child to become more responsible and confident while at the same time improving their fitness and coordination.
Equipment required for Juniors: Elevate Shirt, Black Shorts or Jogging Bottoms
All classes cater for complete beginners up to those who are more experienced
Our juniors class will teach more advanced techniques in order to provide a
platform for them to move to our adult classes when appropriate.

TOMMY

Tommy is a 2nd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Roger Gracie and the head BJJ coach at Elevate. He’s a former competitive swimmer, Judoka, and diver. He often works with professional MMA fighters to progress their skills.

Nathan Jones, “Mr Bag & Tag” is a professional MMA fighter and hardworking athlete who holds a BJJ brown belt. Whether he is on the mat, in the ring or in the cage, Nathan’s wealth of experience and great energy shines through when teaching classes.

Frankie is the SFC Amateur Featherweight MMA Champion and has been training now for around 4 years. He’s competed in kickboxing, Jiu jitsu and MMA and loves competition and teaching.
